Mortandad de vertebrados.

The Society for the Conservation of Vertebrates has recorded during three years vertebrate casualties in railway lines. A total of 329 records were gathered (182 birds, 125 mammals, 13 reptiles and 9 unknown). This high-speed line is bound to cause more deaths (43,443 individuals/year in only one line) than conventional lines (444,825 individuals/year in the whole territory). Besides, railway lines may affect vertebrate population by electrocution and barrier effect.

La Sociedad para la Conservación de los Vertebrados registró durante tres años los atropellos de vertebrados en líneas de ferrocarril. Se recopilaron un total de 329 registros (182 aves, 125 de mamíferos, 13 de reptiles y 9 desconocidos). Esta línea de alta velocidad es susceptible a provocar más atropellos (43.443 indivduos/año en una sola línea) que en las líneas convencionales (444.825 individuos/año en todo el territorio). Por otro lado, las líneas ferroviarias pueden afectar a las poblaciones de vertebrados por electrocución y el efecto barrera.
