Informe provisional del seguimiento de la mortalidad de vertebrados en las carreteras de Asturias.

Several local and national roads as well as two highways were surveyed, being birds (37%) and amphibians (37%) the most affected taxa. Species were run over depending on their distribution: e.g. where the road was near a reservoir a lot of amphibians and wildfowl were killed. Also driver behaviour (speed, intentionality) and the road outline had effects on killing rates.

Se prospectaron diversas carreteras nacionales además de dos autopistas, siendo las aves (37%) y los anfibios (37%) los taxones más afectados. Las especies atropelladas dependieron de su distribución, por ejemplo, cuando una carretera estaba cerca de un pantano se atropellaron muchos anfibios y aves acuáticas. Por otro lado, los hábitos de los conductores (velocidad, intencionalidad) y el pérfil de la vía afectaron las tasas de atropellos.
