Vertebrate mortality in roads of SE Madrid province. Visited roads crossed rural and industrial areas. The frequencies of different vertebrate classes were: birds (45%; mostly Passer domesticus), mammals (38%; chiefly dogs and cats, and then rats and rabbits), amphibians (11%; mainly Bufo bufo), and reptiles (6%).
