Algunos efectos de las obras de mejora de la carretera N 121-A, sobre el río Ulzama (Navarra).

The effects of a tunnel construction on the water quality of Ulzama river were investigated. Several physical, chemical and biological parameters were measured at different distances of the tunnel. Many of them were altered by the works, mainly the amount of suspended solid particles, as well as the concentration of nitrite and ammonia compounds. The river was affected along a 4-5 km stretch, and parameters were again within normal values beyond 7 km.

Se investigaron los efectos de la construcción de un túnel sobre la calidad del agua del río Ulzama. Se controlaron diversos parámetros físicos, químicos y biológicos a varias distancias del túnel. Muchos de ellos se vieron alterados por las obras, principalmente por la cantidad de partículas sólidas en suspensión, pero también por la concentración de compuestos de nitrato y amoníaco. El río se vió afectado en un tramo de 4-5 km y los parámetros volvieron a ser normales a partir de los 7 km.
