Sexennial report on the implementation of the Habitats Directive in Spain 2013 -2018

The Habitats Directive requires each State to prepare a six-year report on the measures it has adopted to comply with it. In Spain, this commitment is also an express mandate of Law 42/2007, of 13 December, on Natural Heritage and Biodiversity. The main part of the report required under Article 17 of the Habitat Directive is an assessment of the conservation status of species and habitat types of Community interest, which must be carried out for each biogeographical or marine region in which they are present, according to a format and methodology established by the European Commission.
