Complex habitat comprised of a sandy coastal plain resulting partially from grazing and/or rotational cultivation, in an oceanic location with a cool, moist climate. The wind blown sand has a significant percentage of shell derived material, forming a lime rich soil with pH values normally greater than 7. Vegetation is herbaceous, with a low frequency of sand binding species.
