Se ha estudiado la flora amenazada de Sierra Nevada (2.100 de taxones vasculares -especies y subespecies- catalogadas, que representan el 30% de toda la flora vascular de la Península Ibérica). Se examinó el hábitat, estado, corología y amenazas de 116 taxones. Entre las amenazas, citaron las infraestructuras, la construcción y las graveras.
Se ha catalogado la flora amenazada por: a) distribución geográfica (A=amplia, E=estrecha), b) especificidad de hábitat (E=extensa, R=restringida), c) tamaño de población local (G=grande en algunos lugares, P=pequeño en todos los lugares).
